BROSTROM TANKERS VISITS SIMS Lonavala

SIMS, Lonavala also had a visitor from another eminent company called Brostrom Tankers SAS, one of the leaders in the marine oil and chemical industry. Senior Advisor HR Sea, Mr. Jean Nectar, visited the campus on 19th March 2008 and profusely praised the world-class initiative of ESM in maritime training.

Having heard about the institute and its world-class initiatives in maritime training, Mr. Nectar decided to have a first-hand experience by visiting the campus himself. His main objective was to see how Indian officers are prepared and groomed as well as the curriculum, equipment and facilities available for their training.

Needless to say, Mr. Nectar left the campus with a whole new idea and perspective to maritime training in India. In fact, he also commented that SIMS is “The best I have ever seen!”
