 Over 300 and odd members of the joint ESM-SIMS family thronged the open-air Natraj Lawns, Chembur in Mumbai in the evening of 08th December to celebrate the year end. As the venue burst at the seams with the entire staff from ESM and ESS Mumbai as well as SIMS Mumbai and Lonavala, along with their families and friends joined in the great fun and entertainment all through the evening till midnight.
The evening saw some guests from Singapore -Mr. B.S. Teeka (MD, ESM Singapore), Ms. Sikha Singh (HR & Crew Manager, ESM Singapore) and Capt. Arun Sundaram (General Manager, ESM Singapore) also joining in the fun.
The party commenced with a prayer song sung by the ESM staff followed by plenty of innovative activities and competitions for kids and adults the same. These included competitions like Mr. and Mrs. ESM and Best Couple of the Evening amongst others.

Guest child artistes from Don Bosco School who were coached by none other than some in-house talent of Crew Dept. entertained the crowd with their dance performance. It was indeed a show house of all the hidden talent of ESM and SIMS and their family members as melodies and dances were presented by talented kids. The grown ups too did not stop from swaying and gyrating to the popular Hindi film songs to the great enjoyment of the entire crowd.
The highlight of the event was the award giving ceremony. Ms. Suzan and Mr. Arpan were crowned Miss and Mr. ESM 2007 respectively – a title well deserved by both. Mr Biju Baben and his lovely wife were given the Best Couple Award. Another surprise that was in store for Mr. Baben was when he was voted the Most Popular Employee of the year 2007.

Mr. Teeka and Ms. Sikha then presented our staff as well as the very talented children with prizes showing our appreciation for their delightful performances and participation in the various activities.
To round up the event, there was a surprise birthday celebration for our HR & Crew Manager, Ms. Sikha Singh who was presented with a bouquet of flowers and a cake with the design of the SIMS Lonavala campus!
The event was indeed a very enjoyable affair and it was satisfying to see our people in a different atmosphere surrounded with laughter and enjoying the evening’s happenings. Suffice to say that all who attended left the evening filled with a scrumptious dinner and buzzing with the night’s activities. |
