Tentative course schedule for the month of Mar 2007. May subject to changes. Please contact SIMS Mumbai for confirmation.

Out of all the important activities like the innumerous audits, inspections, ship deliveries, birthdays etc etc., two important events which were the highlights of the month of February were the Leadership seminar of the ESM senior officers and the passing out of the second batch of Graduate Marine Engineers from SIMS, Lonavala. They were a culmination of months long preparations, planning and anticipation from a group of people mostly working in the background to make them successful and meaningful.

The leadership seminar brought together a group of senior sailing officers with members of the top management teams from Singapore and Mumbai, middle level managers and personnel officers working with them from a distance on a daily basis and some of the experienced faculty members of SIMS. The seminar turned out, as expected not just the reiteration of the company’s commitment to quality and safety policies but also as a very meaningful and sincere interaction to make each one understood in the right perspective.

The net result is a very satisfied group of senior staff that appreciated for being appreciated for their service and dedication to an organization, which has grown from strength to strength. They also understood their value and responsibility as team leaders on board.

The passing out of the second batch of graduate marine engineering cadets is the second highlight of the month which indicated yet another milestone of SIMS in a short period of just two years of its existence. Needless to say, the hardware and the infrastructure that have been placed on this institute are world class. What we are waiting for and prepared to accept is nothing but the world-class cadets and future officers graduating from this institute. Looking at the present record of the SIMS cadets on board, we are confident, SIMS will not let us down.
