conducted by them and here are some of the excerpts of their

Summary of the Safety
management System
“The
safety management system has been well prepared and developed
and the policies and
procedures contained therein were also seen to be robust and
well considered to the business.”
Summary on Training and Recruitment
“The management is relatively new to the shipping
world ( 4 years), nevertheless it is noteworthy that the
Recruitment and Training Policy focus on the details to ensure
that ship-staff working for ESM find it enjoyable and
professional. Enterprise Resource Management software ( ERM-
ANYWHERE)
has been
designed specifically for the company by IT experts.
This innovative software is built to provide added value to
ship owners ( who place their ships under ESM) with
transparency to access the personal details of all seafarers
on board their ship as also the accounting wages) systems
7x24x365. It was demonstrated that personal data, licenses,
certificates, sea service, endorsements, visas, family
details…etc are readily accessible ONLINE and in real
time for all officers and ratings serving onboard and on leave
as well.”
Summary on Technical Support
“The
company’s knowledge base and the control mechanism are
considered to be satisfactory with an adequate reporting and
monitoring system in place for the existing fleet.
The
future introduction of Executive ship management’s web
based ERM portal will provide the company with a
‘live’ means of reviewing ship maintenance and
performance trending on line, updated every 24 hours.”
Summary
of navigation and mooring:
“The subject of navigation is well explained and
managed within the fleet. The passage planning are very good,
regarding position fixing interval during
coastal navigation / transit of narrow channels,
verifying the gyro error and recording of T and P
corrections”.
COMMENT
“ This is a young ship management company with
aspirations of growing. The trust placed in the company by its
largely Japanese principals seems well justified…”
