The spicy prawn dish is known for its bold flavors, which come from a combination of soy sauce, red and green chilli sauces, garlic, ginger, and other seasonings. The prawns are typically marinated, fried until golden brown, and then tossed in the flavorful sauce along with vegetables like capsicum and spring onions.

Ingredients you'll need

  • Oil 1tsp
  • Ginger 1tsp
  • Garlic 1tsp
  • Finely Chopped Dry Red Chilli 1tsp
  • Chopped Spring Onion (white parts) 3 pcs
  • Finely Chopped Spring Onion (green parts) 2 pcs
  • Diced Capsicum 1/2 pc
  • Soy Sauce 1 tsp
  • Red Chilli Sauce 1 tsp
  • Green Chilli Sauce 1 tsp
  • Salt To taste
  • Sugar 1/2 tsp
  • Pepper Powder 1 tsp
  • Corn Starch 1 tsp (to be mixed with 1 tsp of water first) 50 ml

To Marinade:

  • Medium-Sized Prawn 20 pcs
  • Soy sauce 1 tsp
  • Salt To taste
  • Pepper Powder To taste
  • Corn Starch 4 tsp
  • Water if needed
  • Frying Oil

Instructions


  1. Take prawns in a bowl and mix in all the Marinate ingredients given except the frying oil.

  2. Mix well then heat the oil on a frying pan, drop the prawns in and fry till golden-brown.

  3. Drain the prawns on a kitchen towel and set aside.

  4. Heat 1tsp of oil in a frying pan then add in ginger, garlic and red chillies. Sauté for a minute.

  5. Add the white part of spring onion and sauté for a minute.

  6. Add in capsicum and sauté for a minute.

  7. Now add soy sauce, red chilli sauce, green chilli sauce, vinegar, salt, sugar and pepper powder. Boil it for 1 or 2 Mins.

  8. Add in the fried prawns and toss well in the sauce.

  9. Mix corn flour with some water. Pour this into the sauce and toss well.

  10. Add in the green parts of the spring onion and toss once, and it is ready to serve.
