Milk Peda with Ground Jaggery

A traditional Indian sweet made with milk and jaggery, perfect for festive occasions or as a healthy dessert option.

Ingredients you'll need

  • 2 Litre full fat milk
  • 2 Tablespoons of vinegar
  • 200gm Ground jaggery
  • Cardamom powder
  • Cashew nuts for garnish

Instructions


  1. Gently boil the milk at a medium flame.

  2. Keep vinegar ready to put once milk start to boil.

  3. Add 2 tablespoon of vinegar into milk and stir for 1 minute.

  4. After that your milk will be curdled completely.

  5. Transfer the curdled milk to the colander in batches with the help of muslin cloth.

  6. Immediately pour cold water to get rid of the vinegar smell.

  7. Squeeze off the excess water, remove the muslin cloth and rub curdled milk gently.

  8. Take a heavy bottom pan and put it on low flame.

  9. Put grounded jaggery and curdled milk in pan.

  10. Continue stir till thickening of milk product.

  11. Add green cardamom powder.

  12. Once it gets cool down then make them in flatten round shape.

  13. Finally garnish with cashew nuts.
