The Company shall conduct its business in a socially, environmentally, and economically responsible manner, which fosters safe and ethical behaviour, both in the office and on-board ships so that life, environment, and property are not subjected to undue risks at any time. Company operates in full compliance with legal regulations, industry-specific guidelines, and monitors internal policies, and by-laws.
The Company shall:
• Provide for a safe and healthy workplace environment and promote the physical and mental well-being of all employees, both ship and shore personnel and enhance employees' capabilities and continual improvement of their safety management skills, including preparing for contingencies related both to safety and environmental protection.
• comply with all legislation and regulations protecting the environment. We are committed to pursuing best industry practice whenever possible.
• provide a secure working environment by establishing and maintaining the required physical security measures to prevent unlawful acts against its ships and office premises.
• Provide cyber security measures for Company’s IT / OT infrastructure to prevent cyber-crimes and protect its digital assets / information.
• Assess all identified risks to the safety of its personnel, environment, ships and other assets to establish appropriate safeguards by eliminating the hazards and minimising risks as best possible by taking effective preventive and protective measures.
• Support local communities for the betterment of society.
Company abides by ‘Open Door’ principle. Any employee or sub-contractor is free to meet with or contact the Senior Management and / or Managing Director to discuss without any hesitation their concerns related to Health (physical and mental well-being), Safety, Security, Environment protection and Governance.
To implement our commitment, we have developed a code of conduct (the “Code”). This Code has been designed to deter wrongdoing and to promote honest and ethical conduct, including the ethical handling of actual or apparent conflicts of interest between personal and professional relationships and avoidance of conflicts of interest. The Code establishes rules and standards regarding behaviour and performance and constitutes a part of the terms and conditions of employment. Violation of the rules and standards embodied in the Code is not tolerated and will subject those responsible to disciplinary action.
The Code applies to all entities controlled by the Company and all employees onboard and ashore, including directors and agents of the Company. Every time we engage someone to perform services on our behalf, we will request the service provider, agent, or consultant to comply with our Code. Alternatively, they should demonstrate that they are bound by other ethical guidelines demonstrating similar expectations regarding ethical, responsible, and profitable decisions.
All Employees are required to read and understand the Code. Employees individually are ultimately responsible for their compliance with the Code. Every manager will also be responsible for administering the Code as it applies to Employees and operations within each manager’s area of supervision
The company encourages and facilitates reporting of any suspected unethical, illegal, or fraudulent activities within the organization by a whistleblower. If an Employee reporting a violation wishes to remain anonymous, all reasonable steps will be taken to keep their identity confidential. Company shall protect rights of a whistleblower against retaliation. All communications will be taken seriously and, if warranted, any reports of violations will be investigated.
